Irthington is a small, pretty village close to the town of Brampton and only 9 miles from the historic city of Carlisle, with its wealth of shops and attractions. The village has a pub which serves meals and a shop/ post office. There are a number of places to eat within 5 miles. It is the ideal base for touring
Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes, Pennines and the Solway. Only 8
miles from junction 44 of the M6, it is convenient for breaking your journey
to and from Scotland. |

We have two en-suite bedrooms, each with a double and single bed, TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Vallum Barn also has a private guest lounge and dining room. We serve traditional cooked and continental breakfasts, and can provide packed lunches by arrangement. Off-street parking and secure bicycle storage is also provided. |
